For the month of July topics include: - Do It Yourself shows from start to finish: find out how to create, promote and execute your own showcase with professionalism, focus and artistry - Hands on Live Mixing: it is important that performing songwriters understand how to use their equipment but also, knowing how to mix sound in a live setting and getting behind the mixing board empowers you to be more confident in sound checks to your own shows - How to talk to the Sound Person: this overview covers quick bites of info that help you be more professional and confident when working with live sound engineers. The process is often overlooked but if you know how to communicate what you want and don't want, as well learn to build a language with your live sound engineer it will give you the best sound you can get, and if you got the best sound, you perform better and that impacts your stage presence and your audience's experience to your art.
